Moggiona Novecento - il paese, la sua gente

A new book, Moggiona Novecento - il paese, la sua gente (Moggiona in the 20th century - the village and its people), has recently been published by the village society, Pro Loco Moggiona.

The book contains over 150 pages of photographs, featuring all aspects of village life, from the early 1900s right up to the mid-1990s.

The photographs, mainly contributed by current and former residents of the village, record events such as village festivals and ceremonies, weddings, baptisms and football tournaments, as well as scenes from everyday life in all seasons. Most recently, there are photographs of Pope John Paul II's visit to the village in 1993.

The book provides a fascinating insight into Moggiona's recent history and the many changes that have taken place in the village over the past 100 years.
